Finally, a lay in and leisurly start to the day. Sun shining and wind blowing, just like we get back home. A short walk down the road for a few basic supplies from the supermarket and a pleasant suprise, right next door was one of our favorite stores....JB-HIFI. Tom needed a charger for his Ipod, they had a sale on, so we had to pop in. With charger in hand we dragged ourselves out to head back to the apartment, via the patissarie over the road for morning tea, before catching the Parramatta River Cat in to the city.
It took almost an hour along the river and Tom was excited to finally see the harbour bridge and Sydney Opera house. We walked up to The Rocks market for a spot of lunch and a little shopping. Tom got a T-shirt and necklace, Sally a necklace and Ian as usual just food.
From there it was a walk down to the harbour for a better view of the area and a few photos, then we caught the train downtown and enjoyed a little time off our feet as we rode the monorail for a full circle. Back on the train and a bus out to Bondi beach for an ice cream. We were all getting a bit worn out by now so reversed the trip back to Parramatta.
Tom seemed to regain his second wind when reminded there was a pool in the complex. Shame the same couldn't be said about Uncle Ian as he was dragged off to play!
