Day 26 Adelaide Cracker day, 34C. It feels as hot as in Kununurru. Nice stroll through the Botanic Gardens and a drive through the beachside suburbs. Finished off a bit of shopping. Ending the day with a meal at the pub next door and a little flutter on the pokies. Early night given the intended early start tomorrow, heading to Melbourne.

Day 25 Port Lincoln to Adelaide More golden brown wheat fields being harvested on the drive into Port Augusta - petrol stop and, would you believe it, being forced off the road by more police escorted houses travelling west! More and more harvesting then Adelaide which, like Perth, is full to bursting with tourists and therefore no rooms! Luckily we found a cupboard at the Mercure....can't take a photo as room is too small to get camera out! Also had trouble ...

Day 24 Cocklebiddy to Port Lincoln Trees got fewer and fewer until they finally disappeared altogether around the WA/SA border...now it's really the Nullarbor (latin for no trees). More great cliff top views into the Great Australian Bight and Sally has a close encounter with a 'ginormous' snake.....thought it was a twig until it moved! (manged to get it's photo despite the adrenaline rush). Lunch at Nullarbor roadhouse and the road just goes on and on and on....

Day 3 Broken Hill to Coober Pedy. Shrub, shrub, bush, EMU...stop, photo, shrub, shrub......it never rains in the desert! .....only when we arrive. Colder today at only 27C. Had Police escort up 1/2 of Stuart H'way...well they were getting cars off the road so a house in 2-parts could go along...what were the odds of being behind it? In concentration camp now....gates lock at 2200 sharp! Off to the big Rock tomorrow. Will upload photos then..technology permittin...
