Adelaide
Cracker day, 34C. It feels as hot as in Kununurru. Nice stroll through the Botanic Gardens and a drive through the beachside suburbs.
Finished off a bit of shopping. Ending the day with a meal at the pub next door and a little flutter on the pokies.
Early night given the intended early start tomorrow, heading to Melbourne.
So where are we off to now? I hear some of you asking. The plan was to spend a couple of weeks in New York for Sally's birthday. Couldn't afford the shopping list though, so we're doing the next best thing. Driving half way 'round the big red continent.
'Wow, how long are you away for?' (see we can still read the odd mind, the not so odd occasionally too!) Being our usual ambitiously optimistic selves we're taking 4 weeks....after all it's only 14,000km.

My brother lives at 45 Wheaton Street, South Plympton, Adelaide. Mum and family have just returned from there - you probably passed them out shopping somewhere. Take me ages to go through all the stuff on your site but it looks like you are covering a lot of distance and having a lot of fun. It was a very quiet birthday without you guys for mother this year. Just had Robin and Wahia, but drinks also for absent friends who swaned off leaving us behind. I hope you are having a neat time all the same.
Sally, the sad news is RosiePosie passed away on Saturday and there have been much tears. She just didn't have the fight anymore. She now takes pride of place in a lovely casket on the TV stand or gas fire in the lounge when it is cold.
Mother 85 is awaiting your return so we may party n your return.

Are you warm enough? Just think it's not even summer yet. I know it means getting out of the car, but try to get on a trip into Kakadu and Jim Jim Falls, go off shore to one of the aboriginal reserves or go through the Katherine gorge. What's a Darwin stubbie cost these days?
