A slow start to the day. I had nothing planned; it is just a transit day. It took quite a while to get motivated and pack everything up; awning, mats, tent, etc. I wasn't in a rush, as I knew my next camp is Leven Canyon which is less than hour away.
I dropped into the local shop at Forth to pay a donation to the Lions Club who I assume maintain the camping area.
The drive to Leven Canyon is hilly and windy, and is mainly farming and logging area. I arrived at the picnic/camping area a bit after 1pm. There was one other car, but nobody appeared to be camping. I found a levelish spot up the top area away from the carpark, and quickly setup the tent part of the camper. It is on a gravel section, but I'm not too concerned.
The weather is overcast, but I still plugged in the solar blanket to give the camper batteries a bit more of a charge as the short journey didn't fully charge them.
The area is quite serene with many tall trees. There's a toilet block and also a camp kitchen. Luxury!!! I scouted around and found some wood for a fire
