Today is a transit day. I woke around 7:00am and finally got up about 8:00am. Holiday time is great. After a quick breakfast and a coffee and some morning TV news, and I packed up the camper. I left the caravan park around 10:00am, fuelled up, and ventured to the West Coast. Traffic was virtually non-existent, so I just sat on about 80Km/h and arrived in Arthur River about 11:45am.
I went straight to the Parks and Wildlife office to discuss camping options (as there were quite a few). I chatted with a lovely lady name Melissa who was immensely helpful about everything in the area. She gave me tips on short drives, walks etc. and I decided to camp right next door at the Peppermint campground which has a camp kitchen and flushing toilets.
I set up the camper in amongst some gnarly twisted trees on a levelish area. I won't get much sunshine for solar charging, but I should be ok for a couple of days.
