Only have ten minutes so a quick one -

Tue 3rd - Left Greymouth arrived Franz Josef. Lovely small town with a big glacier. Booked our hike.

Wed 4th - We did our full day glacier hike. We got kitted up with our crampons!! It was really fun, we had to squeeze through narrow gaps and small holes. The ice was so blue! We went to the glacier hot pools in the evening to rest our legs!

Thur 5th - We went out walking again!! Oh our legs ached!! The scenery was amazing. We got different views of the glacier and had our lunch at Peter's pond. We did some laundry in the evening.

Friday 6th - We left Franz Josef and walked round Lake Matheson at Fox Glacier then arrived at Makarora. This is a very small village (if you can even call it that). We had our own private wooden lodge. The pub shut at 7pm so we were in bed by half past!

Sat 7th - We stayed in bed to midday then went for a short walk in the afternoon. We went to the bar to watch the rugby and treated ourselves to some mulled wine!

Sun 8th - We left for Wanaka! It had been snowing so everything looked very pretty. We went out partying in the evening.

Mon 9th - Went for a walk around the lake. We met up with Sophie (Rachael's Cuz) for dinner in Trout.

Tue 10th - We are working for accomodation now. We went for a walk up to Mt Iron then went to the cinema.

Today - We worked again this morning then went for another walk. A night in tonight!!
