Sorry we have not been on for a while, here's a run down of what we've been up to -
Friday 23rd July - Kaikoura - The weather was awful!! It rained all day. We just popped into town and spent the evening at the hostel.
Saturday 24th July - Kaikoura - The weather was better!! We put on our hiking boots and did the Peninsula Walkway and saw the seal colony at Point Kean. The walk was brilliant, although we got covered in mud!! It took us about four hours but we had lots of fun. We bought a lovely cake! We used the spa and sauna at the hostel and relaxed after our long walk!
Sunday 25th July - Kaikoura - The weather was amazing and we could finally see the snow covered mountains!! We walked down to see the seals again then went back to the hostel. A guy called Glenn took us out to see some more seals - these were baby ones!! There were hundreds of them all playing in a waterfall.
Monday 26th July - Kaikoura to Picton - We got up early for sunrise!! It was lovely!! We could see the snowy mountains and the sky looked pink. We got the bus to Picton, it only took a couple of hours. We went for a bit of a walk round but went back to the hostel early for dinner - well we didn't want to miss the chocolate pudding!
Tuesday 27th July - Picton to Nelson - We got up early and went for a walk. We went to Bob's Bay and saw the ferry leave. We walked a bit more then headed back to the hostel. We got the Magic bus and arrived in Nelson, we booked our Abel Tasman hike and then went to the hostel.
Wednesday 28th July - Nelson - We walked to "The Centre of New Zealand". The view from here was just amazing! More snow covered mountains, the city and lots of green hills. We then went to the Japanese Gardens which was nice. We then went into town for a bit of food shopping, then back to the hostel.
Thursday 29th July (yesterday) - Nelson - The alarm went off early - we had our Abel Tasman walk! The coach picked us up and we drove to Kaiteriteri which took about two hours. We then boared our cruise which was nice, we got to see the split apple (photo above). The boat dropped us at Anchorage Bay where we started our hike! It was nice, nothing too difficult. We had lunch on the beach and the sun was shinning. We could see mountains and the bays were stunning. We stopped at "Stus Lookout"! The bus picked us up at 4.30pm and we got back to the hostel about 6.30pm. We had dinner and had a very early night - we were so tired!! - Happy Birthday Christina!!
Friday 30th July - (Today) - We went to an old fashioned town this morning. This afternoon we are hitting the shops - we need another memory card for all our photos!!

Mum Still keeping up with you and enjoying it all. I spend so much time on the computer now. xxxxx
Tony & Sheila How fit are you two, you are absolutely amazing, we feel very feeble in comparison. If it wasn't for the mention of chocolate pudding every now and then, we'd stop reading! Our geography has improved 100% since you started out on your adventures. Himself said he had to do all what you've been doing just to get to school (violins!). Had cornflakes and custard last night and thought of you. Much love T&S xxxx
