Yesterday in our travels we came across a hardware store and managed to buy a tube of crazy glue to fix my iPad cover. I dropped it yesterday and broke the little plastic bracket that holds the iPad in place. The super glue was $.40. We went for a 3 hour beach walk today. About half way, we stopped for lunch at a dim sum restaurant. It was surprisingly good. Oddly, dim sum is the only Chinese food they have-the rest is Thai food. On the way back, we stopped at a local market. There was mostly fresh fruit and produce for sale. They also had fresh fish-snapper and barracuda were the only fish we recognized. Today was mostly spent in transit. A van picked us up at our hotel to transfer to the ferry pier. The inside of this van could have been on an episode of pimp my ride. Mirror on the ceiling, intricate designs in the leather/vinyl, and 11 cushy bucket seats. The driver was laughing because I was trying to take some pics of this unit. Feeling better today and it's not raining, so we decided to walk to the beach this morning. We caught a long tail boat from Ao Nang beach to Railay beach. It is overcast, so maybe that's making everything duller, but I am unimpressed with the beach here. It's close to muddy coloured and has a lot of little shells on it, so you have to be careful where you step. The water is nice and warm and the limestone cliffs do make it pretty. It rained all day today. I am sick, so I guess the 2 coinciding was the best I could hope for. I spent the morning on the deck laying on the lawn chair and the afternoon in bed. Walked 1/2 a kilometre to a Thai restaurant for dinner. It was really good.
