Off on my dream tour today, we departed early for a trip to Myrdal where we were catching the scenic train to Flam, we got our first view of snow, lakes surrounded by mountains, deep valleys and amazing vistas. The autumn colours are mind blowing, to see it exactly how I've always wanted is a dream come true. We arrived in Flam which is a tiny little tourist village right on the edge of the Fjord we were about to cruise, in summer time it would be a bustling little metropolis but being so chilly it was nice and quiet and besides the couple dozen people on our tour we had the place to ourselves. After an hour or so of checking the place out and being awe inspired by the beauty of the place it was time to get in the ferry and make our 2 hour way through the fjord, WOW, it was spectacular everything I imagined and so much more, it was ridiculous cold but I didn't realise I couldn't feel my fingers until the cruise had finished and I tried to put my camera down (countless photo's were taken to say the least). Words cannot describe the beauty of this place. So glad we got out of oslo to see the real Norway. The landscape is fascinating it goes from deep valleys and amazing mountains to moonlike plains that are sparse of anything living. We finished the tour with a bus trip to Voss which is a lovely little ski town with numerous winter gold medals under its belt. We spent the night in Bergen and left early this morning for Oslo again, heavy snow must have fallen over night as the snow was a lot lower down the mountain today. Trent slept for a lot of the beginning journey, i don't know how as I didn't even want to blink and miss any of it. Now for the adventure of getting the hell out of Oslo and back to the main land.
