Sitting just a stone's throw from THE Green River. We're at the KOA in Kent, Washington and our site is at the back corner and all we have to do is walk up a little slope and cross the street and walk down to it's banks. It did seem to speak to you! And Jeff, he said he felt a magnetic pull....hmmm. Better sleep lightly tonight! :) But it's too bad we couldn't hear the river like we heard the ocean from that first place in Oregon. All you hear is traffic! Yes, I think it's only 20 or 30 minutes to the heart of Seattle. We got in yesterday, having driven straight through pretty much. We did stop at a local farm to purchase some fresh hazelnuts and walnuts since we passed the groves driving in. Harvest isn't until October, but even "last year's" crop tasted pretty good! There was one point where we could see Mt St Helen's and Mt Adams at the same time. Majestic gets the most word votes here. We seemed to have been planted back firmly onto dry land. Passed the exit for Mt. Rainier National Park, Lewis and Clark State Park and Rainbow Falls State Park. Surely lots of places to explore, only not this trip. We're leaving to go see Josh and Lydia in a little bit. We'll probably go get a bite to eat and visit for a bit. Tomorrow I have an appointment in a nearby town to get the oil changed, tires rotated and wipers replaced. We'll probably do some "touristy" things like the space needle and maybe check on a fairy to Vancouver.
