Yesterday was all day in Tennessee. Today will be all day (and a couple more) in Arkansas. Once we dropped down out of the Tn hills and crossed the Mississippi we became flatlanders with that rich bottom soil stretched out of either side of us, the spring crops in or going in. A yellow crop-duster doing nose-dives back and forth across the highways and around us. But then we got to these beautiful fields of ragweed...weeds are so pretty in the right setting! ...

Left Aunt Sarah's about 1030 this am and just stopped for the night at about 7:30. It rained the whole way. One thing we noticed was the abundant state parks at exits along the way. We got into it at first, listening to country music. I cracked up over this one song called "Rain is a Good Thing". I found out it's from 2009 Luke Bryan but since I never listen to country, it's not surprising I missed it. Goes something like Rain Makes Corn. Corn makes Whiske...

Saw this house on 81S on our way to Tenn. Had to get off and go down the frontage Rd to get a better peak. Once again some beautiful spring colors, in particular a large area of lavendar on the light green before you get to the exit for Blacksburg. Almost to Bristol and are going to stop by and check out the track!

Okay, the photo is great! Jeffrey had taken a selfie on his cellphone. But that really doesn't quite make up for the fact that his mother has managed to delete all of the photos from the beer festival when attempting to transfer them from camera to ipad! Just going to have to let it go and chalk it up to the learning process and an old lady having one too many craft beers! Should have waited till a later time! Oh well, the day was wonderful! Made it to Jeffrey and Brittany's! But I think the major accomplishment here is that we made it out of the house! Just as I suspected, we had too much stuff. I cut the amount of clothes I was bringing in half but that didn't seem to help a whole lot! We'll be reorganizing before we take off from here. The spring colors were gorgeous coming up the road, blooming pretty pink and light green buds all over the trees! And what a smooth ride once we got out of SC...
