Sitting just a stone's throw from THE Green River. We're at the KOA in Kent, Washington and our site is at the back corner and all we have to do is walk up a little slope and cross the street and walk down to it's banks. It did seem to speak to you! Oregon at last! Arrived Wednesday and came up the coast only so far. We kept getting fascinated by all the views. They were everywhere! "Stop, pullover!" was my common cry and it seemed to be every other twist in the road. We stopped at Bullard's Beach State Park and could hear the ocean like it was just outside our tent. Never made it out of California yesterday. Lots of scenic route drives and stops for pictures and several wineries. Got to purchase several bottles at two different ones that we thought were great. California! This place needs it's own word but we're still searching for it! It's big, it's sprawling, it's sleek, it's picture-perfect pristine. When you look out over the bay you see the sunshine and the sailboats and you feel like you're part of a postcard. We kept saying "Only in California". And the real by one was the cows! 4/30-5/1 General Sherman's tree was 2 miles this side of the campground we wanted to stay at and since we had plenty of daylight, we decided to stop and hike down to see that first before we went on to the campground.
