We arrived in Nha Trang and were really looking forward to spending some time on the famous beaches in this area.

We arrived late afternoon so we went straight out for tea and met three Australian guys, all over 50 but really good fun and great drinking partners!! We had a fair few drinks with them and headed home in the early hours! For once I (Ash) was the more sober - still worse for wear - so had to help D home and into bed. The next day we set off for the beach, the reviews we had read were accurate, white sands and beautiful clear water! We could tell the majority of our days in Nha Trang would be spent at the beach.

After another day at the beach and exploring the markets we spent a day at Vinpearl an island just off mainland with a waterpark, amusement park arcades and a beautiful beach itself, the ticket includes all - even free arcade games - the cable car from mainland to the island is the longest over sea in the world and made for great views.

The amusement park was good but the gem was the water park we spent the majority of the day here and could have stayed longer, the evening was spent playing numerous free arcade games before heading home, the following few days included us doing little else as the beach became our second home.

The food was also very good throughout our stay here, numerous street food stalls which are as good as ever and I even tried Ostrich steak which was very good and D had a great curry served in a coconut!
