Hi again,

Just a quick catch up for you all as we have had a couple of amazing events happen to us over the past few days.

1. The first of these amazing events happened to us while we were staying in Opotiki. It was wednesday morning, just before 8. We were still in bed when the earth moved for both of us. We couldn't believe what had just happened. It turned out it was an earthquake which hit 5.6 on the richter scale and the centre was only an hour away!!! It was so cool!!

2. The second event was even more thrilling!! We managed to book ourselves on a white water rapid raft trip!! It was on the Kaituna River, just outside Rotorua. Not only was it white water rafting but it was grade 5 (Extreme white water - with grade 6 being commercially unraftable!!) It also included the worlds highest commercial waterfall standing at 7 metres high!!! We blitzed it dude!! It was knarly and sooo radical!! We also river surfed which is when you paddle back into the rapid you have just gone over. The nose of the raft dips and water jets at such a high force straight into your face!! It was such a wicked day and something we still cant believe we had the balls to do!! Photos will follow to prove this!

We are currently at Te Puke and then heading up to Waihi Beach and then onto the Coromandel Peninsula in the next few days. We will keep you updated!
