Kia Ora (Thats Hello ïn New Zealandish!)

Arrived in NZ yesterday after a pretty traumatic flight from Singapore. We were both suffering a little from jet lag and havent really had a decent nights sleeps since we left, so we were hoping to catch some z's on the plane. Well, that was the plan anyway, but my legs are just too damn long and Zoe is too figety!! And also a little Chinese lady had a heart attack a few seats away! but luckily there was a doctor on board and they were able to stabilise her. So yeah, we arrived in Christchurch at about midday NZ time, and got a bus to our hostel, Base Backpackers, which is based in Cathedral Square. We were very pleasantly surprised with our room, it is huge as is the ensuite. There are loads of other travelling studenty type people around (obviously) and we feel like we are at uni!

So far what we have seen of NZ we really really like. It is so chilled out (just up Pauls street!) and we dont feel like aliens anymore as we did in Singapore!! And Zoe wants those of you she discussed this with to know that they are called Singaporeans!!

After a bit of exploring and a lovely meal we had our first full nights sleep, commencing at 7pm (rock on!!) we woke up and had breaky and we are now about to pick our campervan up which will be our kitchen, lounge, dining room, bedroom and life for the next three months! We are soooooo excited!

So you (parents) dont worry, we are both fine, happy and well and can cope alone!!
