The countdown has officially begun in fact I now have only 3 days left until the adventure begins, with still so much to do!!!!!

I have had the best week of send offs. It all started with an early christmas which we were both thoroughly spolit. As you can see we even had a cake made in our honour.

Then on the friday I had a lovely work send off at village east. I was presented with a new friend Giffy the elephant. Thank you guys for a lovely night and my travel survival kit.

On the Saturday we had the much anticipated Hoo Roo. This was such fun to have all my friends and family together. The party didn't stop until 0430 am. I need to mention the quote of the night 'I didn't know what kinda party this was so I brought twister' it was that kinda party Abbie.

I have had lots of words of advice from friends and family but I thought I would share some of my favourites:

'never buy an elephant with the trunk down'

'Don't die'

'Remember everything will kill you in oz even sitting on the toilet'

'Please don't bring ebola back to Guernsey and stay alive'

'try not to get arrested'

'Enjoy everything, remember all, smile and be happy'

They are all great words of advice and I will try to remember them all. The first big challenge I will be facing is getting everything into a 60lt backpack. Wish me luck!!!!
