What a beautiful little town! Favourite place so far I think. Started with a chest infection in dalat, which is a bit annoying but too nervous of drugs out here to go and get some antibiotics though.

Dalat is a small town nestled in the mountains of Cat Then National Park. Whilst there we went for a lovely long trek doing the 3 peaks, which was pretty challenging! Wet season and trekking through clay rainforest is not so easy! The following day was the making of dalat though. We went canyoning! It was a full day of abseiling, mainly down waterfalls! Amazing. We met a lovely new friend that day called Bernardo who we later travelled with for a few weeks. Bryn made a nervous start at abseiling, when they told us to free climb up a rock face so we could practice abseiling down, but as soon as he had the rope on, there was no stopping him.

Not sure how else to describe canyoning other than amazing. There were a few moments that were SO scary, including having you legs rammed at by the waterfall above when you are abseiling down a slippy rock face and then being told to drop off the abseiling rope into the plunge pool which was about 8 metres below. Actually doing the drop was better than seeing the guy who had Bryn's safety rope let go of it before he'd 'made the drop'.

Cliff jumping added to the excitement too.
