18th July- Enjoyed breakfast at the hostel overlooking the lake before setting off for Ljubljana. Stopped breifly in town at the 4 hikers memorial to try and get a look at the peak. I think I was looking in the right direction and got a photo but there was no-one around to ask if i was right or looking in completely the wrong direction... Brought a postcard so I know I defiantly have a picture. Kept driving along the tollway into Ljubljana. Finally found parking...

17th July- Woke up feeling tired which isn't great. Cold is getting worse so had trouble breathing which resulted in a poor sleep. Stopped at the tourist information office to see if they had any suggestions on how to best spend my couple of days here. Arrived at the postojna caves in time for the 9am tour. It starts off with a 10-15 min ride on a mini train into the heart of the caves. They are incredible.... Both in size and formations. I spent over two hours ...

16th July- Interesting breakfast of pear and coco pops... They were going for free in the kitchen so I thought why not give these try. Stopped at the supernova mall in zadar before driving to Slovenia. Thought about driving along the coast but thought it would take longer due to windy coastal roads and reduced speeds. The tollway was the best choice and after 3 and bit hours of driving I crossed the boarder into Slovenia. The road and scenery changed instantly. ...
