Today feels like it's never-ending mostly because we've been on the go for over 30 hours without sleep!
As soon as we arrived in KL we dumped the bags at the Rainforest B&B and headed into the city centre aka KLCC. The KL Tower is a must to check out the view of the city and surroundings, so like the proper tourists that we will be we had to check it out. At the bottom of the KL Tower was part of the rainforest where Mark was disappointed he couldn't feed the monkeys but he did get a little nip from an ant, this ant was a little bigger than your average Irish ant.
After a stroll through the shopping mall it was time for FOOD in the Pavilion centre food hall. Food from every part of Asia was on offer.. Mark commented that his "nostrils were about to fall off his face!"
Back to the B&B (after walking in circles) for a shower and one hour shut eye before we head north west of KL to Kuala Selangor to see the Silver Leaf Monkeys and then take a boat ride along the river to see the fireflies in the mangroves.
There were plenty of monkeys all eager to eat green beans and anything else you could give them.
Mark was happy this time cos he got to feed them. Max nearly had some competition but sadly I don't think they would let us bring one home.
After the monkeys we had a seafood Chinese in a local eatery by the river. Crab prawns and I think eel was also served. We weren't asked what we wanted just if we liked seafood and if we liked spicy. In the restrooms Mark discovered a food source for the fish swimming below the restaurant! Recycling takes on a whole new form!
The boat trip down the river was amazing as the fireflies lit up and made the mangroves look like Christmas trees. Our boat guide caught a firefly and put it in my hand. He was flashing away in the palm of my hand for the rest of the journey.
An hour and a half car journey back to the B&B for a well deserved rest.
