The states so far.....

Well, we are currently sitting in a nice Hilton just off the main strip in Vegas, and no doubt what is probably the nicest hotel we will be staying in through out our whole stay!

The trip started with our flight with air newzealand, managed to get extra leg room (thankfully!) only down side was that coffee was split everywhere on the floor, resulting in Jess's white superdry hoodie being ruined (her only warm item of clothing!) but this got us a nice box of free stuff from business class, score!

Finally after an hour just getting out of LAX airport we arrived at our first hostel, The Orbit, nice enough, very central west hollywood so couldnt complain, we spent our first morning at an old farmers market where i sampled my first philli cheese steak, Mmm.

Luckily we were right next to a shopping mall, bumped into Mario Lopez (Slater from the original Saved By The Bell lol!) doing some publicity for a new film, we managed to go to Abercrombie to replace the hoodie, for those who have never been in one, it is the darkest shop ive ever seen, everyone that works there is too happy, and its like a giant multi coloured overpriced rainbow (not just the clothes that are like a rainbow) its like a walking Mcdonalds "we support diversity" advert, but with really good looking people!

Anyways, thats all for now, soon to be kicked out of our new hotel, and we need to go find a car to rent. (at a silly price due to being 22) and then off to the Grand Canyon! Pictures will follow. Xx
