Hello!
Well, we had a really memorable 4 day walk on the Kepler Track - very challenging because even though the mileage each day may not have been enormous (about 10 miles), the effort required to cope with steep uphills and downhills and four days' of continuous hot sunshine with about 12kilo packs on our backs, was! We walked for 7, 8 or 9 hours a day with many essential breaks to regain strength and energy! The highlight has to be the views from the top of Mount Luxmore. Truly breathtaking!
Today, we rewarded ourselves with a coach trip to Milford Sound, just a little gentle walking required! The weather was superb again and the boat trip on the Sound was fantastic. Visited an underwater observatory there which was incredible.
Off to Queenstown tomorrow.
More soon.
Love Mum/Mary xxxx

Wendy Hi all, glad the walk went well and the weather was kind! It was great to see you all at the wedding. Enjoy Queenstown - bungy jumping anyone? Regards, Wendy
Paul Great to hear from you again and so glad the walk went well! It sounds dramatic. What were the night skies like? Four days of sunshine would be very welcome here - it's just dull and damp! Tale care, love Paul & Ros xx
Mary Paul, the night skies are very full of stars! Missed most of them as we're going to bed very early, but John's caught a few - he'll no doubt tell you about them later. Wendy, I think John said he'd do a bungy jump didn't he?? He's denying it now though!!
Sarah Wow, it sounds very adventurous, hard work but worth it. The pictures are stunning, what spectacular views! So pleased you're all enjoying yourselves and it was great to hear the wedding went so well. Sarah xxx
Angie Matten Hi All Glad to see that you are having a good time. We all back to work today...yuck. Will you be able to come in to see us on your way up the coast? Or are you doing the west coast. Angie x
Robert and Becky Hello! Check your message board, we can't get the boiler to work; the pilot light won't come on no matter what we do!! Love to all.
