Reading mums comment on me being a veggie made me think. Clearly I haven't told you about me being a veggo for most of my trips on the east coast.
Every trip we've been on involved steak dinners- Fraser Island, Whitsundays, the cattle ranch. And what did u get instead? Veggie patties!
It wasn't til the cattle ranch that I learnt the patties weren't meant to taste gritty. Bloody worlds largest sand island ruining my food!
Then there was the incident at Koala Bingalow, where they tried to put me off meat all together. Even my beloved chicken!
Actually thinking about it, I haven't really eaten much meat since that incident.
Anyway, I was happily enjoying my chicken parmi (weird Oz thing. Breaded chicken with tomato purée then cheese on top) when near the end I spotted it was a bit shiny. Upon further inspection I saw it wasn't only uncooked, but completely pink and wobbly like it'd just been taken out of the fridge.
I swiftly vomited it all back up and sent myself to bed feeling rough.
That feeling lasted a few days and I still can't bring myself to go anywhere near any breaded chicken. It's rubbish
How dare they rob me of the one meat I bloody love!
Anyway a bit of Chinese honey chicken somewhat cured me but still yet to order chicken from anywhere else.
I can trust the Asians. They didn't try to kill me for the months I was in their country and I ate food served on the street!
Back to today then.
I made Bryan a jumper for his bad jumper party but got bored and didn't bother hemming the collar or the bottom.
I then found $5 on the street whilst on my way to the museum. So got crisps and chocolate to fill my need of junk food.
Unfortunately I didn't learn as much about aboriginal culture as I'd have like, but I did see some dinosaurs and a load of artefacts from Tutankhamuns's tomb. So that was good
And that was my day
Exciting
I leave tomorrow and have to set up home god knows where, before having to find somewhere else to live after that.
Old couples keep offering me their spare rooms but I'd have the most boring 4 months of my life living with oldies.
But then as I'll be working shift, living with students wouldn't be ideal either.
I dunno. Hopefully the hospital intranet has something to offer :o)

Chris & Rach Hi Ny Thanks very much for the post card, O loves it and is still playing with it! Sorry we haven't been in touch, absolutely useless! Sounds like you are having lots of fun, though don't like the raw chicken story! Em is getting big, can barely move her. O is still loving the zoo, especially the chinchillas. We will look you up more often and stay in touch. Lots of love C R O & E Xxxxxxxxxx
