Joined the Trek America tour yesterday. Our tour leader is really cool, he's from the SOuth of the USA so has a real cowboy accent. There are 8 other girls and 3 other lads on our trip so Ant isn't too out of place. We've got two girls from England, two lads from England, a lad from Australia, two Belgium girls, a Girl from Germany, two girls from South Korea and one girl from Japan - so quite a mix, everyone speaks English though.
Yesterday we met in LA and then drove up the Californian coast and saw all the Ocean, it was beautiful. the tour leader stopped in some State Parks where there were little secluded coves and some nice scenic spots, we saw Elephant Seals at one spot - they were amazing.
It was a long day, as the drive up the California coast is quite long. We stopped at a camp ground last night about 2 hours out of San Francisco called Moneterey. It was good fun, we were all sat round a fire just getting to know each other. We drove up to San Francisco this morning and have checked into a hostel we'll be staying in for the next two nights. John, our tour guide drove us up a mountain to some amazing views of San Fran and the Golden gate Bridge.
We're going to Alcatraz island tomorrow and going to see the World's curviest street.
Speak soon
Nic & Ant xx
