Well we've conquered Washington D.C, we walked all around the Capitol yesterday.  We got up quite early, as there were people in the hostel getting up and it was a bit noisy.  We set off around the Capitol at about 10am and looked around all the government buildings.  From the Capitol Building we walked up the Mall to see the Washington Monument, and the relecting pool, then went across to see the Lincoln Memorial. Hi AllWell we got here safe and sound. It was a long journey cos we went via Chicago and we were both very tidy and groggy, I think in total we were up for 24 hours.  I think because we were tired the hostel was a bit of a scare. The facilities are wicked, massive lounge room with sky tv and free internet, kitchen with fridges and freezers that we can put our own food in.  The room was a bit of a shock though, a bit different from your comfy double bed ...
