Well we are here in Perth. We arrive on Friday after a 4 hour flight from Singapore.

We have been staying in a hostel right in the centre of Perth whilst we are looking for jobs and a flat. We have been busy busy busy. We have seen about 4 flats and have put in an application for one. It is right on the Swan River which is beautiful and it is really close to the city, we are keeping our fingers crossed.

Ant has got a job, he is working as a Trade Assistan to a Mechanical Engineer - he is basically helping make these parts for big industrial drills. He is using a lot of previous knowledge such as fitting and welding but it is also something a bit new and its a new experience for him. Its good money though so we should be able to save a bit.

I haven't got anything yet, i have registered with a few agencies and its just a matter of waiting for them to ring me with any temp work they have. If i haven't got anything by the end of this week i will start to do some waittressing work or something, just so we have money coming in.

Perth is an amazingly beautiful place. We haven't really seen muc yet - just the city but it is lovely. Very clean, bright and lots of green open spaces. We have never seen bluer skies, but it is not the stifling heat like in Thailand, its really nice to relax in.

We are definately loving it here in Perth and i think the next 6 months will be an experiece we'll never forget.
