Saturday 29th April

Left Canterbury on our way to Cambridge via London & after finding we had mistakenly reset the Sat Nav to go direct to Cambridge, we arrived in Bethnal Green, had a coffee & dropped off a case. From there to Cambridge was an easy run & we were welcomed by Helga & Stephen who had stayed with us in Perth.
In the afternoon they took us to Madingley Hall, where Cambridge University presents short courses.

Sunday 30th April

Our hosts took us around Girton College & then we drove to Royston to catch up with Nick & Wendy, old friends who we hadn't seen for many years. After an excellent lunch we took their dog for a walk around the town centre. Royston is an old town with some interesting buildings & their house is very fine indeed.
It was great to see them again & we were sorry that we had so little time with them.
