Tuesday 5th July easy drive from Cooktown up to Kalpowar Campground where we camped on the Bizant River.
Chris, Michael and I all had a crack at catching Barra for dinner however it was not to be. After spotting crocs in the river we took turns to stand at the edge casting. Michael decided he would be safer in a tree and almost caught a snake, which brings me to quote of the day.
Anne: "Be careful, the lady said there was a snake in that tree yesterday and it ate a bird."
Michael: "Ahhhh, there is a snake in the tree", as Michael climbed further up the tree. "Ohhh, now the snakes got it's head up"
After much encouragement from the gathering crowd and only his fishing rid as a weapon, Michael managed to scramble past the snake back down to earth!!
Nice campfire but still no Barra to eat.

Mum and Dad Keep up the fishing Andrew, not keen on the idea of all the crocs hanging around hope J and A are enjoying their holiday as well. All well here, Kiera seems to have grown heaps in a week and I seem to have time wasted a week playing with her. Talk soon
