Hey there... just a quick note to tell you about our stay in Turangi. We have stayed here just one night in the YHA. The YHA did the trick....nothing special about this hostel! It is a bit of a wilderness stop as there is nothing to do here except do some nice scenic walks....which is what we have done! We were going to do the Tongariro crossing (a 7hr hike) but due to weather we cant as the track is closed - Andrew was most relived haha! So instead we did a nice 3 hr walk by the riverside and up a little mountain...as you do! It was a really enjoyable walk. Thats all we have really done....oh....except to say that Andrew had a really nice steak and cheese pie!

Onward to Wellington...
