Hi,

We've been in Ko Tao for a few days now and its pretty nice. It was only 1 hour and a half on a boat from Ko Phangan. Everyone makes out that Ko Tao is a tiny little island which is just starting with the backpacker scene but I have no idea what they are talkng about. There are tons of bars and restaurants. It is more basic with electricity and we have about 20 power cuts a day because there are too many tourists and it can't handle it.

We're not really that impressed with Ko Tao because everyone builds it up so much that it was a let down. The ars are all on the beach but that is pretty much the same for all the islands that we have been to so its not impressive anymore and we really can't handle watching anymore of the firedancers!

The snorkelling here is amazing, you only have to ewalk in the water about 10 metres and there is coral and tons of fish. I went on 2 dives which were soo cheap only about 10 pound each). I saw a turlte on the second dive which was cool but there was so many divers that you had to practically indicate before you turned. There was about 50 people trying to see the turtle so that ruined it. I think I want to try and move on to the next level of certification now for diving because I fell much more confident.

We're leaving Ko Tao tomorrow and heading back to Ko Phangan for a few days because we think its better there. The beach here isn't very impressive and the water is actually as hot as a bath so we can't escape the heat. In Phangan we were staying in an amazing place with a pool so we're going to head back there.

We have found an Indian restuarant in Ko Tao so we're going to go there tonight because we have both been craving indian food and its hard to get in Thailand.
