Overnight we changed seasons once again and went from summer to winter. We headed to the Dandenong Ranges at Belgrave where the "Puffing Billy" departs from. It is a steam train that has been closed down twice in its history and been revived again. We had a big day walking around Melbourne city today so are running low on energy this afternoon. We parked at Docklands and then caught the free city circle tram. It was the old style tram that has commentary aimed at tourists. However the tram was so busy and not just of tourists, that the commentary couldn't be heard over all the conversations. The plan was to go the the RAAF museum and watch a flying display however time got away and we missed it! So we tried going for a swim in the apparently heated pool but it was still too cold. After inquiring, we were told that one heater is broken at the moment and they are waiting on parts so it is only half heating at the moment. We went for a drive to the Mornington Peninsula today. Took the highway to Frankston, then followed the coast road down to Portsea. The beaches down here are amazing, and the houses are huge. Portsea is one of the richest postcodes in Australia. Rye was my favourite spot and would love to stay here a while.
