What a beautiful part of the world... John grew up fishing at a very young age in Marahau, it is in his blood so every time he comes home the Motueka River calls...we have eaten some delicious brown trout over the years...not this time though!!!
The Motueka River originates from the mountains over the eastern hills of the
Richmond area and flows to Tasman Bay...it is pristine with river stones, willows dropping into the waters and the river is world renown for its brown trout.
Motueka is also famous for its horticulture...delicious apples which are almost ready to eat now, kiwi fruit, hops and the tastiest berries...
There are local salmon farms and Talley's produce and distribute green lipped mussels worldwide...
So not a bad place to reside for a few days...
