After being on the go for 17 hours we finally arrived in Wellington safe & sound!!! John feeling a lot better, I still had "rumbles in the tummy", looking forward to that bed!!! We checked in to the Travelodge, it was clean comfortable and all that we needed after the day that we had experienced!!!
Up nice and early so that we could be on the Interislander Ferry for it's sailing at 8.25am.
The Interislander Ferry goes between Wellington & Picton, and vice versa,
through the Cook Strait, the strait that separates the North & South islands. So according to the "kiwis" where they come from is the best island!!!
John is from Motueka, which is in the top of the South Island near Nelson. A beautiful part of New Zealand.
The Nelson area is close to wineries, the Able Tasman National Park, beautiful beaches & mountain ranges, arts & crafts namely pottery, and it's biggest claim to fame is that it has the most average hours of sunshine than anywhere else in New Zealand!!! That is why it is a tourist mecca for the "kiwis" and oversea tourists!!!
We are on the ferry now looks a little cloudy and a few whitecaps.....mmm may be interesting with how my tummy feels!!!
