Next stop Penang. Headed to penang for a couple of days and again didn't get chance to do much there as was still ill so didn't even make it up penang hill - shame but it means that I'll have to come back one day and do it! Just went out for some meals with kitty a belgium girl with whom I'm sharing with now in cameroon highlands and anne another belgium who looked exactly like marie daniels (I think jo and karen are the only ones who know who she is) but anyway it was q scaring a diffinate twin!
My hostel was ok in penang but I had a disagreement with the owner as he told me I couldn't go to cameroon highlands til the 8th as it was booked out but only that morning said to me oh u can book for CH but you can do it later no worries - so I booked elsewhere which he didn't like and had a go at me telling me I had done it an expensive way even though it was cheaper than what he was telling me!
The bus journey was certainly an experience. I ended up sitting in the front and next time I will def not choose this place as can see the driver and was not convinced that he even had a drivers licence! At one point he got his newspaper out and started reading it on the highway - I was like what the hell do u think ur doing - so I took a picture of this with the flash off so he knew I wasn't takin a photo of him - luckily he only continued reading for bout 15 mins! Also, I q embarrasingly almost grabbed some guy in the nuts - now before that you all think I'm gettin a little desperate ill explain what happened! He was actually q old and probably liked the fact that some young girl tried to grab him but what happened was my book was sitting on my lap and then the bus turned a corner and it slipped so I went to grab it forgetting that some guy was sitting there as he had only just got on as before that I had two seats to myself. And I misjudged where the book had landed - opps!! Oh well!
So that's all my embarrassing things from Penang - I'm now in Cameron Highlands and love it here but I'll write about that when I leave!
Also, I'm q annoyed at the lack of postcards people have been getting as I've sent s*** loads but I think they are just taking their time - I've sent Jo at least 7 and she has got only 2 so far so if some of you are lacking in the postcard section they are in transit - I promise!!
