woohoo.....well the falls were AMAZING!! Well worth the trip up here that's for sure! Well I arrived in Iguazu and got to my hostel which was rather empty - luckily I met a british couple who asked if I wanted to go to the falls with them the following day so that saved me doing it alone! Went out for some food that night 14pesos for a 3 course meal can't go wrong with that!!
Next day got up tres early and left for the bus station. Bus didn't take too long and before we knew it we were in the park. We decided to walk to the station as only 2km and the train was to be about 30mins so better off walking even though v v hot weather about 35degrees!! So got to devils mouth and got rather wet but took some great photos and just seeing the falls there was spectacular!! We walked around the whole park in the heat climbing up stairs going on boats and climbing hills, completing the upped and lower circuit. We even saw the coaties which are lil womble style animals and even though they look really cute they are q dangerous! We managed to do all the walks by 3sh so decieded to go back as way too hot to so the eco trail which is a shame but we would've died!! That night I headed out for dinner with rob and paul (guys I met in BA) so was nice to catch up with them.
Following day, I went again with Liam and Sarah (the british couple) to the brazilian side of the falls. Left muy temprano again as had to get bus to foz de igasu then get another bus to the falls. We were stamped out of argentina but weren't stamped into brazil which apparently is really normal but meant that we were illegal for about 6hours!! I was not amused as wanted a brazilian stamp in my passport!! The brazilian side was even better. Someone described to me the layout of the falls as a show. The argentinian side is the stage and while youre there you are a part of the performance and are in with the falls, but on the brazilian side you are a part of the audience and get to stand back and watch the performance in progress - which I think is spot on description. Anyway, not as many walks on the brazilian side so were done by 12 and headed back to argentina - making sure we were stamped back in!! That night I got a 22hr night bus to Tucuman. Now before you think oh my god 22hrs on a bus, these buses are great!! You can get a cama which is a 1st class style aeroplane seat, food, drink, dvds all for about 28pound - not bad really! So my journey went q qucikly as was v comfy and didn't really get bored!! We did have to stop at a check point for about 1hr as an eastern european girl had things in her backpack but they couldn't have been too bad as after the hour of her being interviewed she and her boyfriend got back on the bus!
So. next stop is Tucuman!!
