Arrived off the bus at 3am, worried that hostel wouldn't take us, but they were cool with it so spent the rest of the night in a capsule bed. Almost my favourite sleeping place so far, very private and with own light and socket.
Got up at 10ish and went out for some breakfast of chicken pho. Went for a wander around town with sophie and Tess, and stopped at Starbucks, had a fantastic caramel frappe.
Went and looked at the notre dam, but it was too early and we couldn't get in. Headed of to the war museum and met Katie there. Amazing museum, the most sobering museum I've ever been to, increasingly emotive. Looked around everywhere and it's hard not to think worse of the Americans, but obviously not the fault of modern Americans, ore even of the majority of them at that time. But 2 million Vietnamese innocent civilians murdered, very sad.
Left to find Chinatown for some food, but couldn't and ended up in a park where Katie had a manicure by an old Vietnamese woman.
Wandered through the market (indoor) so much hasting, but I'm starting to enjoy making up excuses to walk away, even get a laugh from the Vietnamese sometimes!!
Then headed for a bar soph an Tess got food me and Katie got beers and a snack (rubbish spring rolls). Went back to hostel so sophie could put drops in her ear (still bad from spa day), and everyone internetted for a while.
Go drinking downstairs with loads of people again (10-15) ten all got on bikes to a club called apocalypse. Insanely expensive £2.50 per small beer. Headed back after an hour or so and played some pool in the bars around the hostel. Then went to bed. In this time I managed to loose my room key, although I kept my locker key very annoying!!
