Yesterday we took the bus to a beach resort town 2.5 hours north of Rio. It's a peninsula surrounded by beaches. We met up with Rebecca and had some dinner and did some shopping around town.
We were on weather watch again this morning after breakfast we decided the sky was too cloudy for a boat tour so we decided to spend the day on one of the local beaches. We laid in the sun and after some lunch in a beachside cafe we tried our hand at standup paddle boarding. To our surprise it was easier than it looked. I took a few spills in the water but didn't mind the chance to cool off.
We are going to hit the town tonight for some dinner and probably shopping. Can't believe tomorrow is our last full day....
