Paraty is an old colonial style town on the water. The streets are all cobble stones (or actually boulders) and the buildings are white with colourful doors and windows...we fell in love. It helped that it was 30+ and sunny and we spent the day on a boat sailing around, stopping at beaches, swimming and having a couple drinks. We both underestimated the strength of the sun and look a little pink, but at least we are pasty white anymore! We went for dinner at a restaurant recommended by the hostel, it seemed like a local favourite and the food was delicious....we wandered around the streets and checked out the shops before heading home. The town seemed to come alive at night, however too much sun got the best of us and we went to bed early.
Our day tomorrow depends on the weather, sun means another day in Paraty, rain means we move on to Ilha Grande.
