Here is to procrastinating my reading!
Friday night, the girls and I went out to a club called Embassy. Katelyn's club promoter told us about it. We only stayed for like a half hour because it was way too classy and upscale for us. The night ended pretty early, since we didn't feel like going anywhere after that either.
Saturday, Katelyn and I went on a date. Firstly, we tried to get ourselves some Hummus Bros. because its delicious but unfortunately, our location closes on the weekends! So we made the trek to Soho to the other Hummus Bros. since we were determined. I swear I could live off of that restaurant, I'm obsessed. Then we got on the tube and went to Kensington Palace. We were exhausted and Katelyn wanted to lay in the grass, even though it was gross and looked like hay, but we did so anyway. Then we actually went into the palace. They set up a new "Enchanted Palace" exhibit while Kensington is actually under construction. They have a room set up for each of the seven princesses that lived there and you had to "find" all of the Princesses' names in the rooms. It was kind of weird, and more for younger kids I'd think. I wish it was the usual Kensington Palace because apparently you used to be able to see all of Princess Diana's gowns. Oh well, I don't recommend going there until its completely renovated in 2012.
Then, we walked through Kensington Gardens and Hyde Park. All I wanted to see was the Peter Pan statue, which I did. Reminds me of the movie Finding Neverland which I would now like to watch again. Then we got lost, and ended up along the Serpentine River. We sat in chairs alongside the river, which we had to pay for even though we didn't realize it at the time. We watched people struggling in their paddle boats and row boats, and watched the bazillion rollerbladers and skateboarders go by. It was relaxing. We eventually went home around 6.
Saturday night, all of us went out to a night club called Cargo. We had to take a cab there and then had to wait in line for about an hour before actually getting in. Thennnnnn, there was a 10 pound cover charge and the drinks were super expensive (my 1 drink was 8 pounds). I'm trying to highlight that the club was not worth it, but I did have fun. Sho, Katelyn, and I were the only ones left around 3 am and decided to walk home, even though it took us like an hour, we eventually made it.
Sunday, Katelyn and I went on another date to the Natural History Museum. We saw so many dinos, and mammals, and rocks, and things about the earth. It was crowded but free and enjoyable. Afterwards, we found a cafe that sold jacket potatoes mmmmmm. Not as good as the baked potato shop in Scotland, but close. We went home after and I took a 3 hour nap. Jess, Jen, Anh, and I went out for sushi at like 10 pm and then I came home, read for class, uploaded pictures, and eventually slept again at like 4 in the morning.
I can't believe I will be back in Boston 2 weeks from tomorrow. It seriously feels like I just left. I'm still waiting for my marketing grade, which I should have had by now. And I still need to see Inception. That is all.
