Alarm went off at 6am today, so a little later than yesterday. I got ready an it was so nice just to pootle about in my own space! The coach picked me up at 6.45 and we headed out to Milford Sound. Definitely the right decision not to drive. I saw so much more than I would have if I was driving. Yes I was on my own but I didn't really care. It was a bit weird but others were on their own and I ended up talking to loads of other people. We stopped in Te Anau for breakfast and then set off down Milford Road. Beautiful, beautiful scenery. Stunning. We had a few proper photo stops but I took loads from the coach. The boat trip was good too, although a lot of it was in shade and overcast so didn't look as good as it could have done. I'm not complaining either, it was just good to be able to see it. It was pretty uneventful. No one fell in or crashed or anything. Full of Japanese though. They're so loud and bloody excitable! Good job you weren't here for that trip Sandra!! We got back on the coach and then did the journey in reverse. Still as stunning this way round. And I don't mean we travelled in reverse gear for anyone who was going to try an be smart! We got back to Te Anau and our coach broke down so we ha to get on someone else's. Which was a shame as there were only 10 of us on a huge coach but now we were on a full one. But never mind. And then I got told this coach wasn't going to my hotel and I'd have to get a bus. Well thanks very much! The next bus wasn't for about half an hour, and the bus stop was right by a liquor store. Before I knew it I was inside and had bought a bottle of wine. Oopsy.
Back to the hotel for another chilled evening. Check out tomorrow to go to Wanaka to meet up with Shane and Krish again. Check out 11am. Lay in, cup of tea in bed and a beautiful morning lake and mountain view?! Oh go on then....
