Just done a four day expedition around the uyuni salt flats area by four by four. I could nt getover the outstanding beauty of the place. The colours and contrasts in the landscape. I did a bit of climbing on some really weirdly shaped rocks and bathed in a natural volcanic hot spring. We visited some Incan cave paintings, two volcanoes, several beautifuly coloured lakes with flamingos and some impressive geysers. The food was nt great and the accomidation was as basic as it gets and freezing cold at the altitude, sometimes over 5000 meters! I could nt of cared less though being in such an amazing place. Watched the sun rise on the salt flats on the last day which was magical, reflecting on some surface water and lighting up the huge white crystally expanse. Will get photos up as soon as possible, love nick x
