Day 1 After a 7 hour bus journey we arrived in Singapore at 5.00pm on Friday 28th September. Day 1 Ok so we decided to get the bus from Krabi to KL. In total in took 16 hours on the bus (excluding on overnight stop at the border between Thailand and Malaysia.) The journey actually went quite quickly and it was nice to see a bit of Malaysia. Day 1 Arrived at Phi Phi island from Phuket by ferry. As there are no cars on this island we then got a 'taxi boat' to long beach. We checked into some accomadation just off the beach - it was a bamboo hut - really basic but pretty cool. Thankfully we arrived in phuket late afternoon and the sun was shining (apparantly for the first time in four days). Got a tuk tuk (which we have actually missed since being on the islands) from phuket centre to Patong beach via a gem jewellery shop which the tuk tuk driver convinced us to go to as he would get paid commision and our fair would be cheaper (by about 25 pence! - you may laugh but 25 pence goes along way over here, haha).
