Day 1
Ok so we decided to get the bus from Krabi to KL. In total in took 16 hours on the bus (excluding on overnight stop at the border between Thailand and Malaysia.) The journey actually went quite quickly and it was nice to see a bit of Malaysia. Similar to Thailand there was alot of jungle and rainforests and then every now and again there would be a little town or some huts (which people call home). We arrived in KL at 7pm and it looked stunning - the KL tower and petrona towers were lit up. Very impressive. Got off the bus near China town where we luckily found some accomodation in a basic but clean hostel. After checking in some friendly locals were having a party in the hostel bar and invited us for a drink - free beer so we couldnt refuse! After this we grabbed some food from a street vendor before turning ourselves in for the night. Very tired after the long journey.
Day 2
Spent the morning doing the tourist things - going up the KL tower and crossing the sky bridge of the petrona towers - very good views! Had lunch sat outide the towers looking over a water featuring park (suprising how much green there is in this city!). Today we bought these phone cards and rang home - so cheap. Basically the phone card lasted 1hour and cost just over a quid! haha. Explored the massive shopping centre (but was a little too expensive for us) before getting the KL rapid train back to China town where we showered and freshed up before going and exploring China town. Loads of stalls here selling fake clothes, sunglasses etc....
Day 3
Today we decided to explore KL by using the 'KL hope on-hop off' tour bus. Basically we saw loads of different sites including national museum (which was an education - kinda wish that we had listened in school now), national palace, KL lake gardens, national mosque, Merdeka flag and Eye of Malaysia (same as London eye). During this trip there was a 3hour rain storm but luckily for us we were on the bus! Had an explore around another of the many shopping centres here - loads of designer shops! In the evening we went up the KL tower again to see what the city looked like in the dark - again very impressive. After this we went looking for a bit of a party - luckily for us there was a place called 'Aloha' club which was advertising 'Ladies free entry and free drinks' so we decided to check it out..... After several free cocktails and a good dance we decided to head home - good night, yet again the Malaysians were very kind and friendly. Such lovely people!
Day 4
For our last full day in the city we headed back to the KL lake gardens where we sat and chilled in this peaceful surrounding - amazing to think that you are just minutes away from the city! Yet again, the weather didnt let us down as it was boiling! Chilled and read our books before getting the sky train into KL city centre for lunch. After lunch we wandered back to China town where we are now updating our blogs. Tonight we plan to do some more exploring (hopefully find another free bar somewhere) before jumping on a bus to Singapore in the morning - think it takes 6 hours which isnt too bad concidering our 16 hour trip!
Hope your all well at home - if you are reading this then we would like a message from you on our message board!!! please!!!! haha. Will fill you in on Singapore in a few days. Hopefully we will be able to upload some photos as well. Take care. xx
