At 4.45am we woke up with the intention of running to the lighthouse to watch the sunrise - unfortunately Nicky had had a bad nights sleep so she went back to sleep whilst Charlotte ran to the lighthouse to watch the sunrise - it was amazing. At 8am we got on the Oz Experience bus for the 4 hour journey to Surf Camp, Trigger was our driver. Arrived at surf camp in the afternoon and after a brief lesson we hit the waves to do some surfing. As usual we were both standing up and surfing the waves straight away. Whilst waiting for a wave we noticed a fin approximately 20 meters away but as another wave came in we lost sight of the fin. Both of us thinking that it was a shark we anxiously waited for the wave to pass to confirm our fears but to our relief a dolphin jumped out the water right infront of us! It was amazing, we tried to paddle out to swim with it (and its baby) but couldn't get close enough and our surf instructor didn't seem to happy that we were heading out to sea. After showering we sat around chatting to our Oz Experience friends before having a big BBQ tea. In the evening we chatted to some of our surf instructors around a fire and Trigger (bus driver) kept us entertained with his jokes.
