We stopped in Pompeii for a few hours on our way to pick-up our Greek cruise over to Corfu Island. It was really neat- lots of old ruins and we had an Italian guide named Vinchenzo! He spoke REALLY fast! Apparently the people of Pompeii had a fast food restaurant, a forum, a jail, a sports arena, and a theater with sound amplification off the floor. We also saw molds of people's and a dog's body shapes left in the ash- NEAT!

The cruise was not as expected and we are really hoping the one we take back to Italy tomorrow is much better. There was nothing to do and it was REALLY hot- but it was short- about 6 hrs and we arrived in Corfu around 5:30am.
