OI OI OI!!!

So we have almost done a week in the fantabulous city of Rio. We landed in Rio with lots of clouds in the sky... much to our disappointment and it rained the whole day. fortunately the weather got much better so we had some long awaited beach time! Along with that came the sun burn haha but were recovering now. We went up sugar loaf mountain on our second day here, or as sam would say sugar puff mountain ;) amazing views from up there but nothing in comparison to what we saw at corcavado, the hill with the man on top... aka Cristo the redeemer!

The buses here are very random but very funny! The tarif is $R 2.10 but for some reason sam got charged $R5 me 2 and Nick $R 1,30 haha, no consistency! The Brazilians are the friendliest people you could meet although the language barrier has been a problem and were sure it will get worse as we travel inland... so time to get those phrase books out!!! We also went to a Brazilian street party which was the crazyest place you could be at night which ended pretty badly but thats for another time.

Tonight we went to the Maracana and watched the best football game any of us have been to before... absolutely amazing atmosphere which was made even better when the team we were supporting won 3-1!! The crowd were unbelievably crazy but check the videos for yourselves and you will see why!!

Were going to Iguazu falls tomorrow... a 24 hour bus trip... the joy!! So we will get back to you on how that one goes and what we see when were there!
