So after a 24 hour bus journey we arrived in Puerto Madryn... and much to our disappointment it was absolutely freezing when we got here!! It made us wanna get back on the bus to Mendoza to the sunny climate....
We went to Peninsula valdes on Tuesday, there is a national park and along the coast we were able to see elephants seals, some Armadillo's running around, Guanacos and finally to the bay with all the sea lions on... this was the most exciting part of the day as Orcas (killer whales) feed off of them. There is only a 3% chance of spotting killer whales so we didnt think it was likely, so we were waiting for an hour in hope that we would see some and the chances were looking slim, but just as our hour was up the coast guard spotted some, and we got an amazing view of them from the cliff by the sea.... It was unbelievable how close to the shoreline they were, we were sure they were going to go in for the kill on the sea lions but it didnt happen, but just to see them made our visit there completely worth while!!
Thankfully the weather got alot better as the week went on so we were happy, and we just spent our time taking walks into town and on the beach just messing around!! We are now heading west to Bariloche, still in Argentina just on the border with Chile.
