So since we last spoke to you all we have travelled to another country, another city and more wonderful sites!! The city of Buenos Aires in Argentina!! It is not at all what we would have imagined it to be, very European, but also quite Americanised. The whole time we were in Brazil everyone that had been to Argentina raved about how good the steak is... so that was our first port of call on our first night! It was pretty good... but the meal was made more interesting when Sam decided to break a glass (bearing in mind the restaurant was quite posh you can imagine our amusement)!! The situation was made funnier when Nick was laughing at it and nearly headbutted another glass over...
We went to Recoleta cemetry, which holds the tomb of Eva Peron, AKA Evita (Madonna starred in the film of her life story), she served as the First lady of Argentina from 1946 until her death in 1952. The tombs were quite freaky, you could see the coffins up close hanging out of the broken windows!
We saw a band called Konex for Rent, who soley play drums where we each had the largest pints of beer you have eva seen... you'll see in the pictures haha. The band were pretty call, and there was a mixture of locals and tourists there so was a really nice atmoshere.
The rest of the time we spent wondering the city, enjoying the culture and doing some shopping! Its a cheap country, you can eat out for less than £5, and get a taxi around the city for less than £1. We had a funny experience with one of them also... Every part of the drivers car was broken, the passenger front seat would slide back everytime he would break, and the steering wheel squeeked each time he turned it, think its time to start charging more so he can fix his beast of a car haha!!
