With thanks to Lyndon, we were dropped off to catch the coach to Seattle. We had enough time to grab a coffee before the coach arrived.
Once at the border we were told to go before everyone else but it took so long to get through we were the last back on. Imagine if we were from Cuba or former soviet union, I think we would still be there.
We arrived in seattle just before two, with Tracy sleeping most of the way and Molly and I playing charades.
We grabbed some lunch and went to the EMP music and science fiction museum. Firstly we went around the Avatar section with props from the film and also explaining the technology behind the making. Molly had a go controlling her own avatar which was posted on YouTube. After looking at the Jimi Hendrix section we went to the sound lab for hands on. Molly had short lessons on drums, guitar, vocals and mixing. Once we had finished in the museum we made our way to the hotel.
In our room was a guide to restaurants and nearby was a diner so that's where we went. The food was great, I had meatloaf with mash and gravy. The place looked like we'd stepped back to the 50's. Once again, as always, I'm amazed by how attentive the waitresses are in the states, it puts the UK to shame.
After dinner we picked up supplies in the local Safeway and then made our way to the space needle. The sun was setting as the elevator made it's was to the top. We played a game with Molly using the telescopes to find names of shops and road signs. We then had drinks inside as it got dark and the lights of the city came on. Molly had a peach tea in a large souvenir drinks container. We waited of the lift down, looked in the gift shop and then slowly walked back to the hotel for the night.
