Our first day of fun! Who Hoooo! We went to the beach just down from Dave and Sue's place. It's amazing. It reminded us of Maui... just 10 miles longer. The sand is super white and soft. Although I've nick named it squeaky sand. When you walk it sounds like the you are walking on the carpet with your slippers. zip zip zip ha ha There are so many shells it's crazy. Many of them still in tack. The sun came out and warmed us up which was a nice change from the rain! It was such a nice feeling to spend some time just the two of us, strolling down the beach checking out the new sceanry and to finally getting a chance to enjoy being here. Our cup needed a little filling. We've decided to spend some time this evening mapping out a route for where we plan to go next and settle for a few days. Ruakaka has been a great starting place, but we are looking forward to exploring the other areas as well.
