Culture buffs that we are, this morning we visited the MALBA - Museo de Arte Latinoamericano de Buenos Aires. This appears to be essentially BA's modern art museum. It is not big. On the ground floor there were a few pieces of recently acquired art by Latin American artists and on the second an eclectic mix of paintings, sculptures and other media. Some interesting bits and pieces but I'm no connoisseur.
Losing the Latin American connection somewhat, Tracey Emin's "How It Feels" was a special exhibition. This consisted of five videos and was 'different'. Ahem.
Unfortunately a new photographic exhibition was not yet open and so we weren't able to see that. Shame.
To counter balance all this culture we then headed to a nearby mall, ate McDonalds (well I did, Fabrice had a freshly cooked wok thing) and made an attempt at Christmas shopping. Fail. Not to worry, still plenty of time ha ha.
To top things off we went to see El Hobbit, in 3D HDR whatever that is. Whatever it is did not take away from the fact that this is not a good movie. As with the LOTR trilogy, I will not be seeing the second two movies.
